Page 1 of 6 Introduction For a few years now, various travelers, students and expatriates have taken advantage of ‘international phone cards’ which, through toll-free numbers, allow cheap international calls from any static or mobile phone. Recently, a new advance has made the whole process a lot easier, the Virtual Calling Card.
What is a Virtual Calling Card? A Virtual Calling Card is just a more modern version of the traditional international toll-free phone card. Instead of being a physical card, the virtual option is operated by PIN numbers, and can be topped up online or by credit card.
How to use a Virtual Calling Card When a payment is made, account information and a PIN are delivered, by e-mail, to a password protected account. This unlocks the card and allows lower priced international calls to be made, from most countries.
Some providers make it even easier and will automatically top up your account on receipt of an SMS text message, useful in areas where computer access may be a problem. |
